Recruiter-Physician

The Physician Recruiter will build, maintain, and execute a complete sourcing strategy for both physician and APP searches.  He/she will provide guidance throughout the recruitment process, handle details, and ensure an excellent candidate experience.   He/she will partner with the Senior Physician Recruiter to represent and market provider opportunities with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System including the Medical Group of the Carolinas and all affiliated hospital facilities. 

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Upon acceptance of new provider search, becomes familiar with all aspects of the search through research regarding specific specialty and discussion with Senior Physician Recruiter.  Reviews all available data regarding search. Develops sourcing strategy and recruiting timeline.  Works closely with Senior Physician Recruiter on searches.  Obtains relevant information from national regional meetings, specialty boards, state licensing boards, and other targeted areas of recruitment such as databases and training programs.  Continually seeks additional recruiting sources. Proactive and timely identification and communication with candidates through incoming calls from ads, online job postings, direct mail campaigns, and other sourcing tools. Provides professional community/practice information.  Ensures all communications whether written or verbal are consistent with the professional image and branding associated with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. Assist with APP contracting and performance assessment Communicates with candidates to request relevant information.  Assists in reference checks and makes certain that all credentials and licensures are validated.  Prepares candidate site visit package and reviews all candidate offers and packages with Senior Physician Recruiter. Coordinates with and sends updates to Practice/Dept. leadership, Managers, Medical Directors and/or Lead Physicians (as necessary) throughout the entire search.  Coordinates all aspects of site visits for candidates and significant other.  This may include but is not limited to making arrangements for all travel, lodging, meals, etc., and developing itineraries, and providing transportation as needed. Act as a liaison with candidate and practice regarding contractual, credentialing, and other needs. Works with physician recruitment onboarding specialist to ensure SRHS HR paperwork for the new hire is complete   Maintains candidate tracking database to include CV, contact information, referrals and follow up information. Assist with SRHS website to ensure postings are all accurate. Sends monthly reports with status updates on new hires. Assists Senior Physician Recruiter with maintaining expense spreadsheet and data. Works as a team player, helping others and providing assistance when needed. Manages special projects as assigned. Assist with candidate interviews Works with senior physician recruiter and leadership to design appropriate marketing materials.  Maintains all recruitment literature and prepares communication packets Works with Senior Physician Recruiter utilizing full service commercial physician recruitment agencies as necessary. Participates in meetings to discuss various recruitment related issues such as recruiting needs, proposed strategies. Identifies process improvements and opportunity for quality improvement. Able to utilize resources to prioritize work effectively. Travel necessary to attend job fairs, conferences to secure contacts for recruitment needs. Maintains confidentiality and a high level of professionalism at all times .

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or healthcare related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Proficient with word, excel, database, internet research and applicant tracking system Proficient in learning new systems Ability to work with diverse groups of people Excellent organizational skills including the ability to work with minimal supervision  

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years’ experience in human resources field, with specific experience recruiting and hiring health care professionals. Proficient with creating and running reports and recruiting statistics Strong interaction skills with overall focus on meeting internal and external customer needs. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to deal effectively with high volume email and telephone communications.
