Position Summary:
The Sr Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Sr. Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring the subsidiary hires the best possible talent.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned:
Assists with developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies designed to attract highly competent candidates. Develops interview guides for open positions that meet legal compliance and trains management in their use. Evaluates trends and recommends strategies in recruitment and changes in the job market. Advises and assists management staff in the application and interpretation of policies and union contract compliance as they relate to employment. Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position. Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Formally responds to union grievances. Prepares advertisements, develops and maintains relationships with various employment contacts (i.e. schools, professional associations, etc.) to source qualified candidates. Acts as a team leader in the absence of the manager.Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree and five (5+) yrs progressive experience.
