Salary Range: $56,920 to $66,250
The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
JOB SUMMARY
The Program Manager for Recruiting and Admissions is responsible for leading the full-funnel recruitment and admission process for MBA and MS programs in the Opus College of Business at St. Thomas. This includes engaging prospective students from initial inquiry through application submission, overseeing a robust scholarship process, and driving enrollment of highly qualified professionals. The Program Manager develops, adapts, and implements recruitment strategies that effectively promote and position the program in a competitive market.
The Program Manager personally contacts and meets individually with prospective students to provide admissions counsel and guidance. The position is responsible for managing recruiting events, such as information sessions, open houses, class visits, and external-facing events. This role requires broad knowledge of St. Thomas’ graduate business programs as well as awareness of competitive programs and industry trends. As a key member of the Admissions Committee, the Program Manager makes recommendations for admission and scholarships and manages communication with admitted and non-admitted applicants. This position plays a critical role in achieving annual enrollment goals and continuously measuring the effectiveness of recruitment activities.
ROUTINE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Conduct daily outreach to prospective graduate business students via phone calls, texts, and email communication.
+ Track all engagement and interactions in Salesforce to ensure accurate record-keeping and follow-up.
+ Manage the scholarship process and collaborate with senior leadership on scholarship budget.
+ Regularly report on enrollment trends and projections to support data-driven decision-making.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recruitment and Admissions
+ Serve as the primary recruiter for key MBA and MS programs, guiding prospective students through the full admissions funnel, from inquiry to application
+ Provide admissions counseling and guidance to prospective students, offering personalized support through phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person consultations
+ Develop and execute outreach strategies to increase engagement with prospective students and convert leads into applicants
+ Refer candidates to the Program Director for continued follow-up as needed
Scholarship Management
+ Oversee the graduate business scholarship process, ensuring timely review and award decisions
+ Manage scholarship communications, tracking, and reporting to ensure equitable and strategic allocation of funding
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align scholarship strategy with enrollment goals
Recruiting Events
+ Plan and execute recruitment events, including information sessions, open houses, class visits, and external outreach events, in partnership with the admissions team and Program Directors
+ Represent St. Thomas at industry conferences, networking events, and employer partnerships to attract prospective students
Enrollment Strategy and Data Tracking
+ Monitor progress toward annual enrollment goals and provide regular updates to the Associate Director of Admissions and Program Directors
+ Track and analyze key admissions metrics, engagement data, and enrollment trends in Salesforce
+ Measure and report the effectiveness of recruiting strategies, recommending adjustments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field
+ Five years of experience in recruitment, marketing or sales
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s degree
+ Experience in higher education recruiting
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.
