Position Title: Recruiting and Training Assistant

Position Status: Non-exempt

Work Hours:  Mon–Fri. Secondary holidays may be a scheduled work day.

Reports To: Director of Human Resources, Online Education

Location: Orchard Park, NY

 

This is an onsite position.

 

Position Description

Summary:

The Recruiting and Training Assistant will perform administrative tasks to support the Training and Recruiting Teams.  This includes updating training records, communicating with staff and leaders regarding training, and assisting the training specialists with preparation.  This position requires a high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications, as well as managing projects in the Learning Management System (LMS).  In addition, this role will support recruitment with applicant screening, posting management, outbound outreach to potential applicants, and greeting of candidates.  Support in other areas of the department will be required.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Training Resource Management: Enters classes, students, and completions into the LMS.  Manages a pre-defined reporting cadence of completed and overdue training.  Acts as the first step in troubleshooting LMS issues. Manages the training library and coordinates the review of materials and curriculum.  Organizes training repositories in Teams, Sharepoint, and the LMS.  Training Support: Supports Training Specialists by maintaining the department calendar, scheduling upcoming training, tracking attendance, communicating with College personnel on future training events, and sending training invitations.    Supports new hire onboarding.  Organizes select training events.  Completes clerical maintenance of the department to include printing and photocopying training manuals, training material distribution, ordering supplies. Prepares and stocks the training rooms with necessary supplies. Recruitment Support: Performs interview screening to support recruiters.  Conducts job posting maintenance, including opening and closing postings and updating according to needs.  Conducts call outs to candidates to submit applications.  Uploads documents into HRIS.  Maintains interview scheduling links.  Acts in an administrative capacity to greet candidates upon arrival.  Submits account request forms. QA Support: Works with QM Manager on sending and maintaining Quality reports. Associate Engagement Support: Works with the Spirit Team to assist with events.

Qualifications:

Degree: Bachelor's degree Experience: 1-3 years administrative experience Computer Skills: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Phone Skills:  Experience in making outbound calls.

Preferred qualifications:

Education: Degree or coursework in Human Resources Experience: Experience working with a training or HR department.  Experience with managing a learning management system.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

 

Position requires standing or sitting in a stationary position as well as the occasional need to lift, carry, push, and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.

Position also requires the use of computer technology/equipment.

Position requires the ability to hear conversations and receive information in person and over the telephone.

Position requires the ability to convey detailed and important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Starting salary is $45,000 to $48,000 per year.

This position is eligible for overtime.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At B&SC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
