Downer has a new opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated Recruitment and Sourcing Specialist to join our team in North Ryde. This is a high-impact role for a strategic professional to apply their expertise in best-in-class recruitment strategies, market intelligence, and strategic partnerships to drive recruitment excellence at Downer. Reporting to the Group Recruitment and Sourcing Manager, you will be an integral part of our high-performing recruitment team, playing a key role in executing robust recruitment strategies and attracting top talent to meet both current and future business needs.
About Your Role:
Collaborate with people leaders to contribute to workforce demand planning, providing valuable talent and market intelligence to identify future skills and capabilities needed to meet workforce demands. Develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet short term and long terms workforce needs, including building and maintaining a strong pipeline of high-quality candidates by utilising proactive sourcing strategies, networking events, referrals, and strategic partnerships. Manage end-to-end recruitment activities across Downer’s Group functions with a strong focus on exceptional candidate care, positive hiring manager experience and continuous improvement. Contribute to strategic programs that support employer branding, employee value proposition, retention, and talent development initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert in recruitment and sourcing, providing coaching, strategic advice, and guidance to business leaders on effective recruitment strategies. Conduct regular market mapping and provide in-depth analysis and insights to hiring leaders, ensuring hiring leaders have access to up-to-date market trends and data-driven insights to refine and enhance sourcing strategies. Develop and nurture strong relationships with internal and external peer networks, educational institutions, professional associations, industry networks, and external partners, leveraging these relationships to source and attract top-tier talent for current and future hiring needs.About You:
Certificate or Degree preferred (Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline) or demonstrated relevant experience. A seasoned recruitment professional with extensive end-to-end recruitment experience (8-10 years) in an in-house environment. Previous experience in a Corporate environment supporting Group functions such as Legal, IT, Finance, Sustainability or Human Resources would be highly regarded. Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, workforce forecasting, and talent pipeline management. An expert in utilising recruitment sourcing and market intelligence tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Talent Insights. Demonstrated ability to analyse workforce trends and market intelligence to inform effective recruitment strategies. Proven experience in building talent pipelines with demonstrated ability to develop talent prospects into active candidates. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with leaders. A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing needs. Proven experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or CRM (Oracle Recruiting Cloud Preferred).What We Offer:
