Work Experience
Knowledge of materialsRecycling specialists need to know which materials are recyclable and which are hazardous, and they need to understand the acceptance specifications of recycling companies. SortingRecycling specialists need to be able to sort materials to remove contamination and prepare them for recycling. Safe handlingRecycling specialists need to be able to safely handle and maintain machines and equipment. DisposalRecycling specialists need to know how to dispose of hazardous materials in an environmentally safe way. TransportationRecycling specialists need to be able to arrange the transport of recyclable materials to processing companies. Recycling specialists also need to understand recycling economics and have knowledge of production and processing, quality control, and costs
