Referral and Intake Coordinator

Our teams of compassionate pediatric experts help children with medically complex, developmental, behavioral, educational, or other needs learn the skills they need to thrive. We offer physical, occupational, speech-language and feeding therapy; augmentative and alternative communication; mental health counseling, applied behavior analysis, and early intervention services. Pediatric Partners is coming to St. Cloud, Minnesota! We are looking for a Referral and Intake Coordinator to join our team with a start date of May 2025. Our clinic offers private treatment rooms, motor and sensory gyms, and a heated therapy pool. Therapists may also see patients in their natural home or daycare environments to help them meet their goals. **Essential Job Functions** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below: + Provide compassionate customer service and establish/maintain relationships with referral sources and families served + Provide knowledgeable information regarding company services including programs and services + Gather and enter necessary data into the Electronic Health Record system including demographic, insurance and desired service information + Ensure supporting documentation is entered into the Electronic Health Record + Establish and maintain knowledge and proficiency of health plans in order to perform health insurance eligibility and verification + Verify benefits for health insurance using portals (Availity, Optum, MN-ITS, etc) + Relay accurate information regarding coverage to parent/legal guardian + Ensure Authorizations to Release Medical Records are completed within HIPAA standards + Greet and register patients for appointments, to include collecting insurance copays + Sort mail and stocking daily supplies to ensure seamless day-to-day facility operations + Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, families and employees including tidying lobby and treatment areas and toys/supplies + Performs work related errands including, but not limited to store, post office, and other facilities using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed at current federal guidelines) **Qualifications:** + Billing/Coding Certification or 2 Years’ Experience working with medical insurance + Previous HER/EMR experience preferred + Excellent customer service skills + Strong communication and organization skills + Current driver’s license and auto insurance + Ability to respond to work demands in a flexible and professional manner + Ability to work independently + Strong problem-solving skills We have meaningful work for you – come join our team – Apply Today!
