For more information about Parkwood Behavioral Health System, please visit our website at https://parkwoodbhs.com REFERRAL Management Center Liaison Full-time - 10:30 am- 7pm The Referral Management Center Manager provides managerial oversight of the timely processing of inquiry and referral calls. Ensures Department is effectively communicating with referral sources, physicians, unit staff and hospital personnel involved with each transfer request. Monitors the entry of call data into the facility’s database and manages all e-fax application(s) to process incoming referrals and transfer requests in a timely manner. Ensures Department effectively communicates with unit staff, physicians, and Admissions Triage Staff. Assists with development of and ensures compliance with hospital’s policies and procedures regarding referral management. Maintains Department schedule and leads the hiring, interviewing, and training of new Staff. Assists Admissions Director with the analysis of referral and key indicator data. Qualifications Education: Licensed RN; Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health related field (QMHP) Experience: 3-5 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience managing a Clinical team. Licensure/Certification: Licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of Mississippi and CPR Certification. Knowledge: Excellent customer service and communication skills (i.e., verbal and written). Ability to prioritize and work well under periods of high stress and pressure. Ability to multi-task and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Thorough knowledge of psychiatric services and medical capabilities provided by the hospital. Ability to work flexible hours. Requires ability to utilize Department specific electronic applications; and data analytic skills. Experience reviewing medical and clinical information to staff appropriately with physician is required. Provides effective leadership within the Referral Management Center (RMC) and the ability to organize RMC Staff to effectively and timely serve patients, families, and referral sources through the referral process. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as scheduling, appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems within the RMC.
