Referrals Specialist

Family practice in Santa Barbara is looking for a referrals specialist to join their team! This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain extensive front office experience! ENTRY-LEVEL CANDIDATES ARE WELCOME TO APPLY!

Pay: $23/hr

RequiredPrefer front office reception experience.Customer Service experience.At least 1 year of referrals experience preferred. Job DescriptionExpediting patient referrals to specialty offices.Completing referral requests as needed.Maintaining ongoing tracking and documentation on referrals.Ensuring complete and accurate patient registration.Providing clinical information to specialists.Coordinating with review organizations and insurance companies.Reviewing referral details with patients.Answer phone calls.Utilize Athena EMR system

Work Environment

Working onsite at the clinic in a fast-paced environment, handling 20-40 patients daily depending on the site. Team collaboration is essential, and the primary demographic is Spanish-speaking patients.

Job Type

6 month contract to hire.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

This is a fully on-site position in Santa Barbara, California.
