Overview:
The Liquor Runner is responsible for the ion exchange decolorization processes. This position will direct liquor through proper flow lines, follow prescribed resin bed cycle, to maintain throughput and ensure quality product. Keeping the liquor gallery and assigned area clean is a necessary component of this position.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Directs, regulates, and changes flow of liquid streams to and from Ion Exchange Resin beds, Deashing Resin beds, Granular Activated Carbon beds at specified times in such a manner to maintain appropriate tank and filter levels.
+ Ensures proper installation of fitting on filter neck. Cleans filter-gasket rim of foreign material and secures filter head; Vents char filters of entrapped air.
+ Monitors dedert evaporator activities which include flow, temperature, level, density
+ Collects various samples for laboratory analysis. Takes brix and conductivity readings and notifies supervisor if out of specifications. Rinses sample-cooler line.
+ Responds to alarms and tank-level gauges.
+ Keeps area clean and orderly.
+ Keeps written records.
+ Performs various duties as directed by supervisors. Performs all jobs in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standards.
+ Other duties as required by supervision
Work Experience:
+ 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
Education Requirements:
+ High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
Preferred Education:
+ Completion of Process Technician program/degree
Essential Capabilities:
+ Ability to read, write, and maintain accurate records
+ Ability to take brix samples, read instruments, turn valves, and adjust switches
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds
+ Ability to climb ladders and stairs

Hourly Rate: $31.71
