Refinery Shift Supervisor - Mankato, MN
This is a full-time exempt level position.

Position Summary:
The Refinery Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising the daily activities and processes related to plant safety, quality, environmental compliance and production in the Mankato Refinery plant as well as leading employees in all aspects of production during shift. As a mentor to front-line operators, you will be nurturing talent as you work with both contractors and ADM colleagues to ensure that all have the training and resources to safely and properly operate effectively. Job Responsibilities:Display a dedication to lead, participate, and support all safety and environmental rules and regulations applicable to the position.Responsible for supervising all production staff during shift, with an emphasis on loadout activities.Consistent effort to improve employee engagement while having a positive impact on overall plant culture.Ensure hourly colleague development by leveraging Mankato’s Continuous Colleague Development program.Maintain good working relationships with all employees including plant management, planning, transportation, quality and inventory control personnel.Adhere to and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, FSMA and SQF requirements. Be responsible for the daily plant operations, which include safety and environmental compliance, food safety, quality control, production, cost optimization and efficiencies.Provide solutions and promote collaboration amongst the various groups such as production, maintenance, and quality.First line of involvement with lock out/tag out procedures and confined space entries.Monitor, review, and suggest/direct initiatives for continuous improvement in all areas of the operations.Review employee performance and support yearly goal setting.Observes equipment/troubleshooting throughout facility and reports concerns to maintenance staff.Offers feedback, mentoring and coaching on a routine basis to team members.Participate in Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings.Daily use and standardizing of OneNote.Assist with scheduling and daily production records as needed.Administer supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training employees; rewarding and focusing employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems/discipline.Flexibility and welcoming of changes to work routine.Assist with Shut down work and planningBe a champion of a continuous improvement mindset, motivate employees to have full ownership mindset.Ability to work any shift required, including weekends and holidays as applicable.Be an active participant in Performance Excellence (PE).Perform other related duties as assigned.Job Qualifications:A High school diploma or equivalent is required.Previous experience in a supervisor or other leadership role is required. Experience as a supervisor, leader in a food production or other continuous manufacturing industry is a plus.Ability to quickly analyze information to provide feedback on manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failuresDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Demonstrated communication, organizational, and record keeping skillsValid Driver’s license is required.Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties.Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, bending, kneeling, and lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to wear a respirator.Must be authorized for employment in the US without sponsorshipExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
