Job Description Summary
This role involves flashing GM development and fleet vehicles with the latest software releases while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with Development Vehicle Usage Level guidelines. Key tasks include retrieving vehicle part numbers and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), utilizing the GM VVT tool, updating software per the Release Matrix, and conducting quick vehicle function checks. The position also requires submitting DTCs and part pull data to a database, closing work tickets, and collaborating with CIEs, PLSIEs, DREs, and VVEs to troubleshoot and ensure successful flashing. Primarily performed in parking lots, this role prioritizes safety and requires the legal ability to operate a motor vehicle regularly.

High school diploma or equivalent3 years working in an automotive environment.High level of ability to work independently.Good interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of major automotive systems and subsystems.Knowledge of serial data communications.Experience with and/or knowledge of relevant technologies (eg. EPS, Infotainment, Active Safety, Cybersecurity,)Knowledge of hardware and software interfaces.Understanding of verification and validation processes.Experience or knowledge of flashing tools. Report onsite full time from 7AM – 3PM+.Preferred Requirements:
Experience mentoring newer colleagues.Experience leading teams.Solid understanding of Functional Safety / DVUL requirements.Understanding of VeSCoM (Vehicle Software Configuration Management) process.Familiarity with GM software architecture and flashing techniques.Experience working with relevant tools (DPS, Vspy, Service Programming Systems, SPR)Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is: $80,300 - $128,200 .
