Reports to the Chief Refrigeration Engineer for operation, maintenance, and repair of the ventilation, provision, ice rink cooling equipment (where applicable) and all air conditioning. This position requires the theoretical back ground and functional ability of the Chief Refrigeration Engineer, serving as a technical consultant to the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in addition to other duties. This position prepares junior refrigeration engineers to advance to the level of Chief Refrigeration Engineer. Responsibilites: 1. RCL places the highest value on the environment, and all employees shall do the same. Those assigned to this position shall work with superiors and subordinates to understand and comply with the company's environmental policies and be committed to safeguard the environment. He shall directly and immediately inform his immediate superior if any environmental system does not function properly; 2. Ensure that all ventilation, cooling, freezing equipment, ice rink cooling equipment (where applicable) and all air conditioning equipment is kept in full and proper working condition; 3. Ensure that all equipment are operated at maximum efficiency at all time to reduce energy and fuel cost; 4. Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in training of the personnel in his division in safety procedures and assigned duties; 5. Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the coordination and control of the HVAC budget and accounts, spare parts and work orders; 6. Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the proper maintenance and function of all fire dampers, shut off dampers, laundry lint/wax filters and Gaylord hood cleaning systems for all ventilation ducts; 7. Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in proper maintenance and repair of all refrigerators, walk in coolers, cold water drinking fountains, mini-bar (with refrigerant gas), ice making machines; 8. Additional routines and work assigned by supervisor.
