Gibbon Packing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for Refrigeration Maintenance at our Gibbon, NE plant.

 

As Refrigeration Maintenance you will:

Oversee all mechanical aspects of the refrigeration system and coolersMaintain all equipment used for refrigerationSchedule and perform preventative maintenanceRead, understand, and complete work orders, operational manualsRead and understand safety guidelinesCarry out verbal instructionsAssist in maintaining minimal production down time and help find solutions to reduce downtimePerform scheduled preventative maintenancePerform and support projects related to continuous improvementsWork closely with boiler maintenance teamAssist with electrical projects as neededMaintain effective relations with team and co-workersMaintain the cleanliness of the shop work areaFollow all Food Safety, SQF, and Safety policiesMaking sure all PPE is properly used as requiredAbility to work independently and as a teamNOTE: this description is not intended to be all inclusive. Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Must be 18 years of age or older.Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Willing and able to work extended hours Thursday through Monday and overtime when necessary. Must be able to successfully complete training: SafetySafe Quality Food (SQF)Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Food defense

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility.Prior production experience.Work history in the last 12 months.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work independently and as a team.
