Essential Duties, Functions, and responsibilities:

\r\n\r\nProvide routine inspections of all temperature logs, ammonia detection alarms and general refrigeration operating systems.\r\nProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.\r\nDiagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.\r\nDetect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations with proper supervision.\r\nObserves equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concerns.\r\nMaintain inventory control on parts and supplies for refrigeration systems.\r\nPerform regular preventive maintenance on equipment and plant facilities.\r\nSupervise/direct all refrigeration contractor tasks.\r\nAdheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines.\r\nMust be able to work shifts as assigned such as weekends, holidays, and overtime as scheduled.\r\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\r\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\r\nThis person needs to work with a sense of urgency.\r\nAbility to troubleshoot issues.\r\nAbility to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.\r\nAbility to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.\r\nAbility to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.\r\nAbility to complete daily tasks in a timely manner.\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States\r\nNeed to be familiar in SPC, HACCP, GMP’S, SSOP’S, and USDA\r\nFamiliar with ISO process and procedures.\r\nAbility to read electrical and mechanical blueprints.\r\nMust wear approved safety shoes.\r\nAmmonia refrigeration systems experience (desired)\r\n\r\n

Physical Requirements:

\r\n\r\nLifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling\r\nStooping, squatting, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching (up to and including 50lbs or more) may be required in completion of job duties.\r\nReaching overhead\r\nReaching below knees\r\nPerform work in a refrigerated warehouse with temperatures ranging from -20 degrees Fahrenheit to 55 degrees Fahrenheit.\r\nPerform work in a non-refrigerated warehouse with temperatures that range from 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit.\r\nIncumbents may use calculators, computers, telephones, and other office equipment during normal workdays.\r\nUse repetitive motions using upper and lower extremities, mount, and dismount equipment on a continual basis.\r\nWill be subject to working on mechanical and stationary working platforms more than 40 ft.\r\nMust be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.\r\nWorking Conditions/Department Description:\r\nWork in damp and cold environment as needed.\r\nWork with loud and noisy machinery as needed.\r\nWork in dusty environment when using spice as needed.\r\nWork in congested areas as needed.\r\nWork outside in all types of weather.\r\n\r\n
