Other duties may be assignedInstalls new equipment, repairs and modifies existing refrigeration/HVAC and boiler equipment.Performs necessary preventative maintenance on all equipment up to and including rebuilding compressors and boilers as needed and records necessary information.Trains other maintenance mechanics in ammonia refrigeration/HVAC/Boiler operations.Possess the ability and willingness to be state licensed, should this be mandatedAssists other maintenance mechanics in their duties when time permitsAbility to work with limited supervision and provides feedback to Supervisors on maintenance concernsAbility to work 4 days on 4 days off with a monthly 6:00am to 6:00pm rotation. Expectations – all Team MembersObserve & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks.  Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organizationKnowledge, skills and abilities 1-2 years in commercial refrigeration environment/boiler operation and or accredited education requiredDemonstrated ability to read, write and speak EnglishDemonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculationsAbility to pass a Prove It testWorking knowledge of NH3 refrigeration principles and understanding of plant refrigeration systems, electric and mechanical proceduresAbility to read and understand schematicsMechanical ability to analyze production machinery and their function and repairWilling to work weekends and various shiftsAbility to work with minimal supervisionBenefits Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid time off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): eligible after 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting scheduleEOE/VETS/DISABILITY
