As a PLO (Project Leadership Office) Project Manager, you will lead cross functional teams and will be responsible for all aspects of multiple product development projects including scope, time, cost, and quality management to ensure successful project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include
Lead projects using the Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) System, for Production Development Projects (PDP) & Advanced Development Projects (ADP).
Responsible for the entire project lifecycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing.
Engage project sponsors for scope alignment and change management.
Lead a cross functional team in project activities through weekly core team meetings, 1:1 interactions and other communications needed to manage & deliver the project.
Manage risks and drive issues resolution.
Generate monthly project status reports on Key Project Indicators (KPIs).
Manage data in multiple systems to report KPIs, provide component part tracking status, and bridge communication networks between core team members.
Give regular reviews to sponsors and other key stakeholders.
Manage and ensure company assets are being deployed in accordance with policy and project deliverables.
Contribute to Project Leadership Office objectives and development.
Report on a portfolio of projects providing oversight on spending and status.
Protecting and securing intellectual property controls within the initiatives under control of this position.
Minimum requirementsBachelor’s degree (preferably engineering and/or business).
3+ years of experience in Consumer/Durable Goods Sector Product Development.
2+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional team projects.
Scope, time, cost, quality, communications, stakeholder and risk management experience leading complex projects.
Travel to Ramos Arizpe Manufacturing Site or Monterrey Technology Center.
Preferred skills and experiencesProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Agile Project Management Certification
Masters Degree in Business Administration
Experience in Home Appliance industry, and in Refrigeration
Excellent communication and people skills
Previous experience in coaching and mentoring
Desire to proactively take ownership of issues and drive solutions
Critical thinking and diagnostic capability in a fast-paced environment
