Job Description

Purpose of Position:

To repair, install, and adjust all refrigeration equipment. To operate safely and efficiently the ammonia refrigeration system and related equipment according to the plant Process Safety Management Program.

Essential Job Functions:

Must be at workstation on time with all work apparel clean, sanitized and with all required safety equipment.Must obey all safety, USDA, HACCP, and plant rules and regulations.Must know shop mathematics, able to interpret drawings and able to use required tools.Must be able to work around Anhydrous Ammonia.Perform routine mainteance on; Ammonia compressors, air system drying equipment air system controls.

Qualifications

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Must be able to lift and climb.Must have good communication skills, both written and oral.Must be able to work weekends and overtime.Must be able to work in a controlled environment.Must be able to work in high and confined spaces.Must be able to pass Hazmat physical and Pulmonary Test yearly to stay in compliance with OSHA guidelines.
