Make a Difference

The Registered Dietician performs professional clinical nutrition patient care functions for patients on assigned units. They maintain effective communication within the department and with other healthcare team members to provide quality nutritional care. The Registered Dietician provides nutrition education for the department, facility and community. They function as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans and plans therapeutic diets in accordance with physicians' diagnoses and requirements of regulatory agencies. 

 

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving. 

Bachelor Degree Required Registered Dietician Certification (CDR) Required License as a Registered Dietician in Indiana (LD)  Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians. Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to perform basic computer functions Ability to use knowledge of or gain knowledge of best practices, processes, laws, regulations, tools, and software within the subject matter area of this position Ability to work effectively within a team environment  High level of expertise in the understanding of nutrition principles, theories, and processes Organizational skills in problem solving, decision making, time management, and supervision (in-direct) Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
