Reg Resp Care Practitioner
Summary Provides respiratory care to patients across all age groups for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes. Performs bedside diagnostic procedures as needed, reviews and maintains individualized respiratory care plans, and adjusts treatment based on patient evaluations. Serves as a preceptor for students and new hires, supporting education and clinical development. Education Must be a graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program. Licensure/Certification + Must hold a current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). + Must possess a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license for the applicable state of practice. + Current CPR certification is required. + ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire or transfer. + Note: NRP and PALS are not required for those working exclusively in Pulmonary Rehab who do not float to inpatient areas. NRP is not required for PRMC unless assigned to PICU or NICU. + STABLE certification is preferred but not required. Experience No prior experience required. Other Qualifications + Must be available for on-call responsibilities. + Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
