JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Must be registry eligible (acceptance letter received and present to supervisor) According to the criteria published by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Experience Must meet requirements of ARDMS eligible status, usually 2 years experience or a graduate from an accredited school of technology. Physical This is a safety sensitive position. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Exposure to mechanical hazards. Operates ultrasound equipment, computer, telephone, and wheelchairs. Frequent standing, walking, bending and stooping. Lifting, carrying up to 20 lbs. Pushing or Pulling up to 200 lbs. JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of a physician trained in ultrasound and the department manager, performs obstetrical vascular ultrasound procedures that will require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Attendance is an essential function of this job.
