Find out more at www.TransdevNA.com or watch an overview video at https://youtu.be/ilO5cv0G4mQPosition OverviewThis is a regional position overseeing our Northeast region, which includes the states of NY, NJ, MD, PA, VA, MA, etc. This person will oversee the Safety Managers and locations within that region. This person will oversee compliance with company policies and procedures, FTA, FMCSA, DOT, OSHA/OHS, DHS, or other applicable Territorial and Client regulations. This position is out of our Lombard, IL corporate offices, however this person must be able to travel throughout their region on a regular basis. Our pay for this position ranges from 109K-136K/year. We also offer an attractive benefits package, including 401(k) with company contribution, medical, dental, vision, Life AD&D, 40 hours of sick time, up to 2 weeks of vacation time.Region Safety Manager Responsibilities: Measures and monitors compliance with company policies procedures, FTA, FMCSA, DOT, OSHA/OHS, DHS, or other applicable Federal, State, Provincial, Territorial, and Client regulations. This will include ensuring the training being conducted meets all Transdev Company Guidelines and is in keeping with best practices.Coordinates the support, roll out, and project management of all new safety initiatives, training, and other safety activities within their region.Manages and collects all information and data from locations within the regions necessary to complete monthly safety reports in accordance with all deadlines. This includes the RSM  preparing the actual reports.Works with the locations to ensure a proper analysis is conducted of each safety event occurring in the region that results in an injury to an employee, passenger, motorist, pedestrian, etc., or any other serious safety event that may not have included an injury.Identifies safety trends within the regions/locations and using the trend information to  recommend corrective actions.Trains the trainers, safety personnel and managers within the region on all safety programs.Supports the development and creation of any regional written materials including,  procedures, safety posters, safety alerts, lesson plans, power point presentations, etc.Assists with the Risk Department with management and legal support for injuries and  collisions within the region. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred Valid CDL10 Years of Safety/Transportation Experience.Collision Investigation training.5 years experience in fleet transportation management.State/Provincial Instructor Certification in at least one of the states/provinces in the region.Certified Smith System Defensive Driving Instructor.Expert in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Corporate Databases.Must be able to lead behavioral change by motivating others and inspiring them to become safety leaders.  The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
