Regional Account Manager - INDOPACOM (Japan)
Location: Okinawa, Japan (must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to)ADS, Inc. is currently seeking an International Military Sales Representative to support our US Military customers in the INDOPACOM region. Candidates are required to have an exceptional understanding of the Defense customers and requirements within their area of regional expertise to draw from for immediate success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop relationships with new and existing Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard & Defense customers within their assigned territory Creatively address customer procurement problems, becoming a true resource and solutions provider Understand International Defense contract/funding methods and assist customers in their utilization Partner with ADS supplier partners to provide best products & values to meet customer requirements Determine innovative strategies to win sales and strategically grow business within your assigned international market Identify purchasing requirements and priorities, relevant manufacturers, needed product categories and technologies required by international defense customers within your AOR International Defense Market and Industry analysis: Analyze market trends, new requirements, new program inceptions, and targeted large-scale solicitations. Gather market, customer, and competitor intelligence. Create new solutions in response to ongoing market changes and growth opportunities Understand and represent ADS products and services and carry out direct sales activities to meet company defined quotas Make cold calls, face-to-face and via telephone prospecting to develop new business Provide management with sales plans monthly Generate quotes for customers and assist them in identifying optimal funding vehicles Work with support teams (purchasing, accounting, warehouse, etc.) to ensure that all information is up to date within corporate systems and that orders are delivered in a timely fashion Communicate with support teams to make sure customer needs are met, appropriate agreements are in place, strategic alliances are established, etc. Regularly following up on closed sales to ensure delivery and quality were as promised Assist in the ongoing development and growth of the ADS International business unit: Continuously identify opportunities for improvement, growth, and development Generate relevant reports/analysis and respond to requests for information in a timely manner Report to and follow the guidance of the Director of International SalesREQUIREMENTS

3+ years’ US Military experience – US Navy/Air Force/Marines preferred, but all US Military backgrounds are welcomed/encouraged to apply 2 years of experience with military acquisitions - either in Outside Sales, Business Development or DOD Contracting Strong defense equipment sales experience in the tactical, MRO, expeditionary, medical or FES product categories highly preferred Must possess strong strategic and analytical skills required to analyze customer problems and develop creative and effective solutions Understanding of government contracts, defense procurement and relevant purchasing methods desired 2+ years’ experience/demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, etc. 50-75% Travel: Able to meet with customers outside under all weather conditions and must be able to travel by car/plane for long distances Bachelor’s Degree - Military and/or DoD experience may be substituted at Manager's discretion Must be highly organized and adept at multi-tasking to juggle the duties of both inside and outside sales Must be an excellent communicator - both in writing and in person – with exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills Must understand basic business financial concepts and to be able to budget own expenses in a cost-effective manner Able to use customer/prospect contact activities tools (CRM systems) and update relevant information housed in these systems as required Access to U.S. Military installations (not required, but a plus)ADS believes that a diverse work environment leads to bigger thinking and more creative solutions to our customers' problems, and we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
