JOB OVERVIEW
The responsibility of a Regional Account Representative is to manage and grow the business with Callaway Golf’s Strategic Retail partners. The Regional Account Representative (RAR) will be the point of contact for all Customer planning, marketing, and business issues for assigned accounts. Requires a complete understanding of each Customer’s operations, infrastructure, and marketing, merchandising, and growth strategies. Has strong working relationships with all levels of Customer’s staff and uses information provided by Sales analysis teams to proactively develop selling/service strategies for each account. Will collaborate with various members of the Sales team to obtain constant feedback regarding the state of customer’s retail operation, support levels of Customer at Corporate and Retail levels, inventory levels/sell through and competition and will disseminate accordingly throughout our organization. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency/cost saving initiatives with customers by focusing on ordering frequency/lead time calculations, shipping/delivery schedules, opportunity purchases, and bulk shipping vs. replenishment order designation and plan promotions/programs with customers to drive business and increase inventory turns. Works closely with support staff in the Sales, Marketing and Brand Management teams to provide solution-based services to grow and develop our business with our top customers.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work with Customer and OSRs to establish mutually beneficial inventory levels, replenishment plans, positioning, and merchandising plans across all product categories.
· Responsible for the sale and promotion of Callaway Golf Company products to assigned accounts within a given territory/region.
· Maintain call average minimum of 150 outgoing sales calls per week with a minimum of 25 hours talk time.
· Prepare sales plans, call rotations, and business plans for assigned territories annually.
· Reinforce the benefits of merchandising all Callaway Golf products within retail locations consistent with sales programs requirements and premium brand image.
· Properly utilize and manage all available sales tools (product samples, fitting systems, POP, POS materials, demos, etc.)
· Maintain phone call and account rotation plan to contact all customers on regular basis to provide highest service levels as well as develop strong business partnership with key accounts.
· Utilize contact management tools to document sales calls on a daily basis and utilize information to help sell Callaway Golf Company products to customers.
· Visits customers in various markets to better understand market landscape and reinforce relationships to further strengthen and promote the Callaway brand.
· Place customer orders, communicate product availability, follow up and provide solutions to customer issues on a daily basis.
· Communicate with department leadership to develop business strategies and to identify areas of opportunity internally and with customers.
· Analyze internal reports and information from customer to monitor business and identify opportunities.
· Participate in meetings at Callaway Golf headquarters to contribute to and understand our initiatives and strategies.
· Manage budgets to ensure program success and proper execution of Callaway Golf supported initiatives.
· Organize, plan and coordinate customer meetings.
· Other duties as assigned.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
· High-energy individual with strong multi-tasking and relationship building skills.
· Strong knowledge of Retail Sales Operations and Retail performance metrics.
· Highly assessed selling and marketing skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· 3-5 years of Sales Experience (preferably with multi-door Accounts).
· Expertise with all Callaway Golf IT/Order Management/Software productivity platforms.
· Callaway Golf product expertise.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
