Regional Behavioral Health Undergrad Intern
Description: Job Summary:
Under supervision assists in the provision of information, maintenance of databases, report production and routine data analysis. Work is reviewed for completeness, accuracy and soundness.

Department Description:
Oversee all of the clinical and operational aspects of Addiction Medicine Treatment for SCAL by providing expertise, driving the development and implementation of business initiatives, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state. Develops business strategy and ensures alignment and prioritization of organizational objectives and business initiatives. Manages complex projects or project components, leads change management activities, and performs complex data analyses to drive business initiatives. Monitors compliance of work activities by ensuring business plans and team members adhere to relevant policies and procedures.

Project Description:
Highest priority project for 2025 is the standardization of therapist, case management and nursing templates. This requires complex data analyzation, agreements from all SCAL on how to use templates and building a compendium to provide guidance on utilizing and building templates. Intern would be responsible for attending all area meetings, assisting in data collection/reporting, assisting on presentations and building an addiction compendium. 

Preferred Majors:
Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public Relations and/or Communications.

Desired Skillsets:
Ability to build/utilize reports on excel and build PowerPoint presentations. Desire to work on learning effective communication skills and strategies to work with numerous stakeholders. Desire to learn more about both clinical and operational aspects of health care related to the growth of the Addiction Medicine Department. 

Essential Responsibilities:
Examples of project support include: Collects, prepares and tracks reports and summaries such as: budget to actual expenditures, production statistics, and utilization of services and statistical records of performance. Performs a variety of data collection and analysis assignments. Prepares ad hoc data requests as directed. Prepares and/or formats graphs, spreadsheets and reports by utilizing office software. May be asked to maintain databases on a regular basis by entering data and preparing data extracts. May extract information from different sources to compile data. Executes existing queries for established reports.  Schedules conference calls and meetings. Contributes to the development of presentations materials. Provides administrative and project support as assigned such as copying, filing, entering and extracting data. Engages in and supports project work.  Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis. Additional Requirements:

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - excel, word, access and PowerPoint.
Proficient with a variety of software applications.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Access and database experience desirable.
Prior office experience also desirable.
