As a Regional Business Development Executive (RBDE), you will be responsible for closing large physician office business in the regional market. Special focus on supporting new business to ensure successful onboarding. Close interaction with leadership of all internal, external, and laboratory operations along with local sales team to ensure client expectations are being served.
The territory for this field-based position covers Birmingham, AL and surrounding cities. The ideal candidate will reside within the territory. The primary focus will be healthcare providers to service existing business and promote laboratory testing to help improve patient health and outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prospects and generates business for larger physician offices Generates and maintains a strong, accurate pipeline of active prospects Daily interactions with sub-divisional sales and operational leadership Develops and executes a daily/weekly call plan to hit sales quotas Collaborates and communicates with all members of the territory sales force Maintains strong relationships and leads conduct regular business reviews with client leadership Identifies and closes new physician office business monthly in a very competitive marketMinimum Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalentPrevious sales or account management experience within the healthcare or medical device industry, 5 years’ experienceStrong knowledge of the medical diagnostic laboratory industryMust have a valid driver's license and clean driving recordExperience with closing large physician offices monthly Strong knowledge and experience with Physician Office Laboratories (POLs)/Reference Labs and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs)Documented success in previous sales positions Robust consultative selling and closing skillsPersuasive verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding presentation skills as a dynamic and engaging speaker Excellent organizational, follow-up and time management skills Knowledge of best learning techniques Relationship building and collaboration skills Experience meeting deadlines and adapting in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint & Excel, Salesforce.comPreferred Qualifications
