The role
As the Regional Business Line Director for our Marine Asset Integrity (MAI) Business Line, you will be at the forefront of changing how we revolutionise Marine Asset Integrity solutions for the energy and water industries to meet a carbon neutral future. You will help shape our future and lead the way for the company. It is an exciting position, offering you the chance to make impact on a regional scale in key future areas, together with a diverse and international team.

With a main seat in Aberdeen, this Business Line also has key locations in the UK, Norway, and the Netherlands, leading over 400 professionals.
You will report to the Group Director Europe Africa, and functionally to the Global Business Line Director for Marine Asset Integrity, where you will form part of a Global MAI team who drive continual improvement to bring best practice to your region and other regions. You will work closely with the Global and Regional MAI teams and you will empower the regional business partners in the functions (Finance, HR, Strategic Sales and Marketing, Project Management and Operational Excellence, Legal, HSSE) and other leaders that are helping to shape our business.
Who we’re looking for:
You will have extensive experience in leadership roles and a a results orientated leader with proven ability to deliver. Expertise in Asset Integrity within the Energy or Renewables sector is essential, along with a proven track record in strategy development, commercial roles, and project management. You excel in building and maintaining robust client networks, effectively engaging stakeholders, as you will be representing Fugro at industry events.
You have a deep understanding of the existing regional market and competitive trends is essential, along with the ability to develop new business, generate leads, manage leads into contracts, and drive operational excellence and digital transformation.
As you will be responsible for maximizing the overall performance of the business line in the region and be accountable for achieving the agreed yearly revenue and profit targets of the business line in the region, while considering the region’s overall profitability. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to drive business growth and profitability.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong analytical abilities and proficiency in financial modelling. You will have the capability to drive and organise real change within an organisation and possess a thorough knowledge of industry regulations and standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll be engaging with diverse stakeholders and leading impactful initiatives.
