We are looking for a Regional Category Buyer to join our Logistics Procurement team in Florham Park, NJ.

We are seeking a professional like you to contribute to the development, implementation, and strategic monitoring of the Liquid & Dry Bulk Transportation categories within the North American Logistics Procurement team.
As a Regional Category Buyer, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of Requests for Quotation (RFQ); contract negotiation, implementation, and monitoring; category management; leadership/contribution of projects; execution of supplier and risk management.
You will interact with Business Units, Distribution & Transport Operations, Lead Logistics Providers and Transportation Providers to bring end-to-end transportation solutions that will improve service levels and support growth.
**As a Regional Category Buyer - Bulk Truck, you create chemistry by...**
+ Leveraging your education and related experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Transportation, and Distribution, you will oversee the procurement of liquid and dry bulk transportation. Your robust analytical ability will aid you as you effectively analyze provider bids, contract nuances, supply chain costs, and service analytics.
+ Developing and implementing the Regional Procurement Strategy for Bulk Transportation (e.g., strategic goals, strategic options, implementation plans) will be part of your responsibilities.
+ Preparing and executing RFQs in collaboration with the Regional Category Manager will involve incorporating business unit requirements, defining roles for negotiation, and compiling a list of suppliers and alternatives to negotiate into agreements.
+ Determining optimal negotiation and award alternatives will be essential, along with awarding goods and services packages to suppliers if the RFQ results fall within defined boundaries and targets.
+ Managing contracts and determining appropriate actions will be necessary, as well as informing relevant parties (e.g., Shared Service Center, business units) about negotiation results and managing supply issues.
+ Executing Supplier Management according to plans developed with the Regional Category Manager, managing relationships with key suppliers, evaluating supplier performance, and driving supplier innovation will also be key components of your role.

+ Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related degree or equivalent blend of knowledge and experience.
+ Possess at least 5 years of experience in Logistics Procurement, Supply Chain operations and Vendor management.
+ Have strong organizational, analytical and negotiation skills.
