Regional Clinical Educator
Overview

The Clinical Educator is responsible for the initial and ongoing training and in-services for all clinical positions  in assigned locations. Along with the development and maintenance of complete and accurate training  materials for clinical positions. The Clinical Educator will also be responsible for the initial training and ongoing  performance of clinical programs.

Works in conjunction with corporate talent development staff, regional training and education manager and assigned operations management in the development, implementation and maintenance of clinical training and in-services for clinical staff including specific training needs identified in action plans developed as a result of clinical measurements. Participates in the development of recruitment plans in collaboration with Director, Operation and Director, Clinical Services.Works with Talent Development and others to develop continuing education programs acceptable to meet the appropriate state(s) CEU requirements.Performs ongoing competency testing for clinical staff. Supports development of new clinical staff in the field.Develops, trains and oversees peer mentors, preceptors and work coaches to provide support and additional assistance to clinical staff.Participates in clinical program development and training.Oversees adherence and performance of clinical programs such as Avoiding Rehospitalization through Care at Home (ARCH), CareLink disease management programs, Telehealth, Remote Patient Monitoring, Medication Management, Population Health Specialist, New RN Graduate Preceptor Program, etcInstructs clinical staff on proper use of clinical software. Acts as a super user for technology for field staff resources and documentation.Performs patient visits, patient supervisory visits, shared visits with staff, and nurse supervisory as needed or directed by management.Assists other locations with training needs as approved by the Regional Clinical Manager and Regional Director of Operations.Participates in the implementation of annual in-service and education calendar.Participates in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI); including assisting with the overall development and implementation of the PI plan, assisting in the identification of goals and related patient outcomes, participation and reporting of activities and outcomes, development and implementation of corrective plans.Participates in on-call or manager on-call as needed or directed by management.All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Current RN license in good standing to practice in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Minimum three years Medicare home care experience.Excellent knowledge of home care regulations.Effective teaching, on-the-job-trainer, or in-service educator skills and experience required. Must obtain OASIS certification within the first two years of employment. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.Computer knowledge and skills are required. Ability to travel to assigned locations as needed.
