Collaborates with key stakeholders to coordinate, develop and execute service strategies to achieve short and long term business objectives within region as it relates to service activities and program.  Maximize regional personnel performance by managing, developing and motivating service employees to deliver unsurpassed patient care, physician/AHP service and technical expertise in the hospital, clinic and other care settings.

Provide technical, educational, clinical and sales support to assist the Region in meeting Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) sales and customer service objectives.

A Day in the Life

Service Leadership Lead all regional service related activities and programs to efficiently optimize resources, deliver customer value and deliver exceptional service. Partners with sales team to drive key service initiatives and provide service assessments via periodic business reviews, RFPs, etc. that highlight the value of Medtronic service to our customers. Work with regional leadership to align resources based on business priorities and appropriate service demands. People Management Leads regional Clinical Specialists to execute on key goals and objectives. Manages Service Team to deliver unsurpassed service, technical expertise and support the achievement of revenue goals. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to direct reports; provides regular performance reviews and implements corrective actions where necessary. Assist employees with individual development planning. Responsible for Clinical Specialist staffing.  Continually work to maintain a strong, diverse bench of Clinical Specialist talent for future hiring opportunities. Technical Support / Clinical Support Represents Medtronic AFS during ablations procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance. Receives technical inquiries by customers. Researches solutions to questions or problems (e.g., Catheter , Console , Generator support) Educational Support: Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to CAS products and related procedures. One-on-one training sessions. In-service education programs. Seminars and/or outside symposiums. Assists RM and field training department in educating/training new Clinical Specialists and Account Managers. Provides training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel Sales Support Updates sales representatives concerning procedure. Immediately notifies Account Manager regarding issues or problems requiring follow-up. Serves as effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, service and support. Promotes the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures. Understands national, regional and territory sales objectives. Works in partnership with Account Manager to achieve exceed goals.

 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME

Bachelor’s degree 2 years Medtronic experience in a role that interacts with the field organization and/or 2 years experience directly managing employees in a healthcare organization.


Nice to Have

B.A./B.S. Degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical discipline Work experience in cardiac field, hospital/clinic or sales. Knowledge of local customer base. Work experience in cardiac field, sales, marketing, training, healthcare, hospital/clinic, technical services or related areas in the medical device industry. Proven track record with technical training assignments. Demonstrated business acumen. Experience directly managing employees in a healthcare organization Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, in a hospital/clinic or EP medical sales providing technical / clinical support.

Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation. Clinical Specialists are required to be within their assigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needs arise. Clinical Specialists will on occasion be required to travel outside of their assigned territory and possibility overnight. Must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to freely move throughout the facility, use a phone, keyboard and mouse, visually able to interact with personal computers Must be able to stand/sit/walk for 8 hours a day. Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.  In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application.    Ability to travel up to 75%

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals. Learn more about total rewards on page 6 here.

 

The provided base salary range is used nationally. The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc
