monitors content and communications on social media and ensures accurate and consistent messaging across programs. + Maintains a relationship with local media and may participate in interviews for television news, radio broadcasts, podcasts or other communication outlets. + Assists with the development of public meeting displays/exhibits and participates in public meetings and outreach activities. + Operates and maintains audio/visual equipment and maintains photo and audio/visual reference files. + Coordinates with Bureau of Communications for statewide messaging on department-wide issues, as well as providing information, news, and updates related to the customer service, branding, and the overall information delivery and messaging for the agency. + Implements regional hunting and fishing recruitment, retention, and reactivation programs and coordinates implementation of statewide recruitment, retention and reactivation programs. + Assists at a regional level on data tracking and analysis. + May develop mission-centric (i.e. hunting, fishing, trapping) workshops, seminars, and clinics for regional and/or statewide implementation. + May collaborate with other government agencies, NGO's, and businesses in the development and execution of programs. + Implements regional Aquatic education program and oversees the Hunter Education program. + Directs regional hunter education and volunteer efforts through supervision of a regional Volunteer Services Coordinator. + Participates in work plans and field activities so that the purpose of regional programs can be effectively communicated to the public (e.g. tagging, trapping, relocating fisheries and wildlife species, conducting habitat surveys, assisting with check stations, etc.) Minimum Qualifications: (These qualifications are required.) + Some knowledge of producing content including written copy, photos, graphics and video for websites and other publications and distributing those materials to various media and other interested parties (Typically gained by successful completion of at least two college courses that include writing, web content management, use of layout and design techniques OR at least one year of experience in a professional communications field that includes writing copy, managing web pages, and using layout and design techniques for producing graphics.) + Some knowledge of supervision (Typically gained by at least three months of work experience directing the work activities of others (either in a formal supervision role, lead work capacity, or directing the work of temporary personnel) OR completion of a supervisory training course of one day or more.) + Experience using journalistic styles and techniques including writing, researching and editing, photography and videography principles and practices (Typically gained by successful completion of at least two college-level courses in technical writing or preparing news releases and/or creating journalistic audio/visual or website productions.) + Experience developing presentations displays, brochures and other outreach materials (Typically gained by at least one year of professional work experience that included researching, developing, writing, and editing presentations, displays, brochures, and other outreach materials for various media including print, broadcast, and social media OR upper division coursework in journalism, marketing, or closely related field that required research and preparation of as listed above as part of a formal project.) + Experience developing and delivering oral presentations to diverse groups including complex topics (Typically gained by at least one year of professional work experience where you were required to develop and deliver oral presentations to a diverse group.) The ideal the candidate will have experience with fish and wildlife management activities and programs. Candidates with such experience may be given additional consideration at time of interviews.
