Our award-winning team has managed thousands of projects across all sectors — hospitals, airports, and entire university campuses; infrastructure like mass transit and water-treatment facilities; and energy and resource assignments, from mines to wind farms. **Your Opportunity** Stantec is seeking qualified candidates for a Program Controls Manager position to serve as the Canadian Regional Controls Leader for PMCM Business Line. The individual would be responsible for providing program and project controls expertise to improve Stantec’s delivery of Programs. The Program Controls Manager will have oversight of numerous programs and will support delivery by developing solutions to identified challenges. They may be responsible for managing a staff of professionals and technicians for successful completion of individual programs. The position will be responsible for program/project controls activities and will support program efforts by coordinating with program management staff and PMCM Leadership. Furthermore, the individual will be required to participate in analyzing Client program controls needs and assist delivery teams in developing the combination of tools, processes, and people to enable the team to manage a portfolio of projects with visibility into schedule and budget KPIs and trends. **Your Key Responsibilities** + Collaborate with Regional Business Leaders (RBL), Regional Growth Leaders (RGL), and Business Center Operation Leaders (BCOL) to support PMCM growth + Assist and coordinate with Sector Leaders (SL) in marketing and business development to support PMCM growth + Working with Center of Excellence team to develop and implement program and project controls standards and procedures, monitor compliance and initiate corrective measures as necessary. + Leading large, complex teams through challenging project assignments and complex client environments. + Providing consultation to the company, client and subcontractors in planning, delivery and execution of Programs. + Consistently and successfully deploying solutions for key accounts as assigned. + Participate in client marketing and positioning presentations. + Initiating and maintaining Client relationships to facilitate PMCM growth. + Coordinate between all of the programs controls teams ensuring best practices are being shared. + Communicating areas of concern to Program Leadership Team. + Provide QA/QC of controls processes across programs, development of reports, and utilization maximization. + Assist and coordinate with the PMCM Controls Leader in developing and mentoring Controls staff in the region + Assist and coordinate with the PMCM Controls Leader in hiring controls staff as needed to support PMCM Growth + Work in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies. **Qualifications** **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills. + Demonstrated experience in development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), scheduling and schedule analysis, cost estimating and cost control, budget development, reporting and record/document control + Direct experience in developing and updating cost and resource loaded schedules using, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and other database programs, web-based tools and spreadsheets + Experience in PMIS solutions and with integrating project management systems with ERP systems is desired + Experience in mapping complex business processes and developing efficiencies + Experience in the municipal sector in areas of public works, utilities, transportation, and industry and on multi-sector programs is preferred + Experience in multiple project delivery methods, including Design Bid Build, Progressive Design Build, CMAR, and Design Build. + Must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment + Must demonstrate organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. + Be willing to travel regularly to support Programs **Education and Experience** + BA/BS in Engineering/Environmental/Construction Management required + 15 years program management experience of infrastructure/buildings/utility projects required + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
