Regional Dir of Operations

The Regional Director of Operations will provide a leadership strategy and will work to ensure continuous improvement and performance for an assigned region in support of company strategic objectives. The Regional Director of Operations is accountable for Operational Excellence including safety, quality, delivery, cost achievement of revenue as well as maximum return on invested capital. This role reports to the Vice President, Operations.

Essential Duties:

\n\nManage a regional P&L, striving for outstanding efficiency improvement and service performance through the leadership and direction of warehousing and transportation teams focused on delivering results that go beyond customer expectations. \nDevelop and lead a culture of operational excellence and adheres to the highest standards in lead time, customer service, continuous improvement, safety, quality and delivery.\nCollaborate with colleagues across the enterprise to ensure strategies, actions and decisions lead to achievement of enterprise-wide goals and objectives, successfully and seamlessly delivering to customers an integrated set of services and products.\nAdhere to core Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements. (Federal CSA guidelines)\nResponsible for building and leading a high performing team including talent selection, development, mentoring, performance management, building bench strength and succession planning.\nMeet divisional service metrics and KPI’s for customer satisfaction.\nResponsible for supporting operations technology (Driver Scanners, Warehouse Scanning, Safety technology and Software applications) that support warehouse and transportation.\nMaintain DOT Compliance to support the division (Driver Logs, DQ Files, Corrective Action, maintenance files)\nMeet all safety goals for Warehouse and Transportation for the enterprise.\nReview equipment purchases and equipment needs for the division.\nEnsure projects are completed on time and accurate.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n

Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree and additional education/certification preferred\n10+ years operations and / or logistics leadership experience in a multi-site facility system.\nDemonstrated P&L management experience.\nMust have demonstrated success in leading new process development.\nWorking knowledge of capacity planning and logistics management.\nDemonstrated ability to manage complex technologies and developing financial plans to make technology investments return positive financial returns.\nDemonstrated leadership and team building skills\nAbility to interface, problem solve, and drive solutions to meet customer requirements.\nLean Manufacturing and continuous process improvement experience\nStrong communicator: written and verbal (one-on-one and group)\nStrategic thinker\nAbility to analyze, understand and effectively communicate technical material\n\n
