The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring the overall effective operation of the residential facilities for the Developmental Disabilities division by providing training and monitoring adherence to Federal and State regulations, agency policies and procedures and union contacts.

 

Responsibilities:

Coordinates services to ensured policies /procedures are implemented uniformly across residential program as applicableMake recommendations on improvement to programming and operations of the facilities.Reviews consumer personal allowance and banking ledgersConducts physical plant inspections and documenting findingsReviews staffing patterns/schedules for appropriateness based on consumer need.Reviews in-service binder for compliance to schedule and contentReviews community inclusion documentation for appropriate frequency and contentReviews recreation schedule and data for appropriate activities and documentationAssists in problem solving for staffing issuesParticipate interview process for all management staffReviews QIR’s for frequency and contentProvides training to new Program Managers on policies and proceduresReviews Petty Cash, check requests, vacation proposals and Disciplinary actions

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in the human services field required; Masters degree preferred. 10+ years supervisory experience, 5 of which are in a managerial position is preferred.Good working knowledge of ICF and IRA OPWDD regulations with an emphasis on Life Safety, Personal Allowance, Incident Reporting Procedures and Programming.
