Waters is currently seeking a Distribution Planner to join our organization to support our European Distribution Center operations in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands. The Distribution Planner is responsible for fulfilling internal and external customer orders in accordance with requested delivery dates, and will also be involved in improvement projects initiated at both local and global levels.
Reporting to the Logistics Office Supervisor, this role works in an environment which requires cross functional collaboration with supply planning, subsidiary partners, IT multiple distribution centers and manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities Works with various departments and individuals across multiple organizations to ensure materials flow through the European distribution center in a timely mannerOrder fulfillment management: Liaise with subsidiary partners and customer order services to manage and review orders placed to ensure customer orders are delivered per request datesApproximately 25- 50% of the time will be dedicated to driving improvement projects initiated at both local and global levelsIdentify and develop methods and processes to drive improvements where necessaryProactively identify and resolve issues that can impact the customerManage timely execution of SAP actions to ensure uninterrupted supply to internal and external customersMake decisions quickly and consistently act with a bias towards urgency to execute inventory allocations for order fulfillmentWork with internal and external stakeholders to manage delivery creation and prioritize order processing to achieve customer requested delivery datesReview backlog and shortage reports, communicate to Order Entry what orders are expected to be covered and what orders are expected to be shorted so that allocations can be executed as determined by the regional businessMonitors back-ordered items and expedite delivery with factories with the intent to maximize company’s revenue especially during quarter closeProactively identify materials that could hold up customer orders and take necessary actions with Planning & Mfg sitesAssess inventory levels with attention to storage space and expiration (of shelf-life products) and collaborate with Planning to optimize inventoryComply with and apply the Waters Global Trade rules regarding compliance in case of blocked orders (GTS screening) Qualifications Minimum Diploma in Business, Logistics Management, or related disciplines2+ years of relevant order management or distribution planning experience requiredDutch B1 levelProficient in SAP and MS office is a mustDependable and able to work independentlySense of urgency as to objectives and timelines, while maintaining flexibility to shifting prioritiesVocal with strong interpersonal and communication skillsAnalytical and meticulous with good follow up skillsTeam player, proactive and possesses positive attitudeActs as a true company owner to advance the overall interests of WatersActively creates the conditions for Waters’ people and teams to succeed Company DescriptionWaters Corporation (NYSE: WAT), the world's leading specialty measurement company, has pioneered chromatography, mass spectrometry and thermal analysis innovations serving the life, materials, and food sciences for over 60 years.
