Job Description

This role is responsible for delivering critical business results and overseeing the daily operations of two shipping departments and an external warehouse. The Regional Dock Team Manager will oversee the efficient flow of goods internal and external to each site, warehouses, and network DC’s; ensuring accuracy in transactions and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The Regional Dock Team Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives within both Shipping & Receiving teams, while also helping to build the strategy to support accelerated growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:Oversee all daily material handling processes (shipping, receiving, inventory control) ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Establish, manage, and monitor warehouse inventories and KPIs.Oversee freight claims processing.Team Leadership & Development:Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team; conduct daily meetings to communicate priorities and foster collaboration.Provide support and backup to team members, and facilitate training and development opportunities.Manage performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.Continuous Improvement & Optimization:Champion safety protocols and environmental compliance.Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including implementing Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) principles.Contribute to site improvement plans, define operational goals, and ensure clear priorities and accountabilities.Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions.Resource Management:Manage staffing levels to meet business needs while controlling costs.Identify opportunities for cross-training and skills development.

QualificationsHigh School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.3+ years of proven success in a leadership capacity; previous warehouse experience preferred. Experience in the label and packaging industry is highly desirable.Strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and logistics (including transportation management).Proven ability to lead and develop teams, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies a plus.Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills.
