Job description:
The Regional Finance Specialist will be responsible for managing financial operations, including taxes, accounting, payroll and audit of companies in charge, to ensure compliance with local and international regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in financial reporting and tax compliance within a multinational environment
Main Responsibilities:
Financial Management & ComplianceOversee tax compliance, including corporate tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and payroll-related taxes across multiple regions, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in accordance with Local and Group GAAP standards.Monitor, analyze, and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring accurate classification and proper documentation.Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, labor laws, and accounting standards while advising management on regulatory changes.Support financial audits (internal and external) by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.Payroll & Compensation ManagementManage and review payroll processing across the Latam region, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations.Oversee payroll tax calculations, social security contributions, and statutory deductions, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments and benefits administration.Validate payroll entries in the accounting system, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and coordinate with external payroll providers when applicable.Act as the main contact for payroll-related audits, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with statutory requirements.Collaboration & Financial PlanningAct as the key liaison between Finance, SSC, Revenue Assurance, Treasury, auditors, and other internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, particularly in areas related to payroll expenses and tax obligations.Contribute to process optimization by implementing best practices in financial reporting and payroll management.Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.CPA, or equivalent certification is preferred.Skills:
Strong knowledge of tax laws, payroll processing, and general accounting principles.Proficiency in financial software (Microsoft dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentLanguage:
Proficiency in English is required.Portuguese is an advantage.Personal Attributes:
