SummaryPosition exists to manage and operate Perdue garages in assigned area with direct responsibility for them. Also responsible to oversee maintenance of Perdue vehicles not assigned to Perdue garages in region. Assist Fleet managers in spec'ing, replacing, and managing equipment in given cost centers.

Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDirectly assist Fleet Maintenance Managers to:
Minimize the cost of any Perdue equipment both on road and off. Coordinate, schedule, and audit vehicle maintenance repairs to include preventative and mechanical repairs to assets to meet customers’ needs. Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of company’s assets. Control repair, inventory, and labor costs Coach and mentor technicians Monitor associate work levels. Manage facilities, assuring a clean and safe working environment. Minimum Education
High School Diploma
4 Year Degree preferred
Experience Requirements 7 - 10 years Understanding of mechanical processes Understanding of standard software applications Strong math, communication, analytical and organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of standard computer software applications Decision Making ResponsibilitiesResponsible for personnel decisions in region, equipping garages with tools, equipment, overall operations of garages. Direct and indirect responsibility for all fleet maintenance both internal and outside for NC., SC., and VA.
Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsPosition is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
