We are looking for a Regional Head of Sales-Americas to join our Catalyst team in Houston, TX.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

As a Regional Head of Sales - Americas you will direct the regional sales, technology and technical services aspects for Chemical Market Catalysts, including Adsorbents in Americas. You will be a lead player in developing, maintaining and leveraging technical and commercial relationships at all major accounts. You will be partnering closely with Global Business Directors, Global Technology and R&D, Regional HoS will develop new business opportunities leveraging strong relationships with customers
You will be leading sales team to achieve targets through price increases, new business development, contracts and value added activities

BS degree required in a technical field preferred plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical sales, technical service and/or R&D OR a PhD/MS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Science or technical field with 5+ years experience in a commercial role.Background and knowledge in the petrochemical industry, with a solid understanding of the market and technologyExperience in technology driven business models.Strong leadership and strong interpersonal skillsHighly developed communication, negotiation, and problem resolution skills. Demonstrated understanding of managing financial objectives and targets within a technically-oriented business unit.Significant experience drafting and negotiating contracts.Proficiency in MS Office required, knowledge on usage of Salesforce is preferredCreate your own chemistry with you@BASF
