In this role, you will shape, develop, evolve, and articulate a compelling, focused regional HSE strategy to achieve our Zero-Harm vision.

This role will preferably be based in Australia and reports directly to the SVP, Global Health and Safety (based in the UK). Significant travel will at times be required. We offer flexible/hybrid working. Key accountabilities will include:

Align the priority focus areas for the business across short-, medium- and long-term time horizonsCollaborate with senior regional leaders to define their strategic plans and ensure effective execution across countries/regionsBe the single point of leadership for the AMETA region, leading the interface and ongoing program delivery between the Region and Global HSE Zero Harm goalsEnsuring alignment with the Global Safety team on systems, processes, best practices and overall global safety strategyBuild on the foundations of our existing safety strategy, enabling the transition to a behavioural based safety cultureCreate an integrated HSE team culture and performance focused on delivering HSE outcomes through a balance of strong collaboration, partnership and ownershipIdentify global internal and external trends and developments and articulate how these should inform and direct changes to strategic prioritiesDrive the focus of the organisation on high priority goals and facilitating tough decisions to enable this

What will ensure your success:

Extensive experience across HSE or Supply Chain/Operations leadership roles in large global organisationsExperience in working across APAC and/or Middle East/Africa with some exposure to emerging markets would be an advantageSome experience in any of the following: culture change programs, manufacturing operations, transformation program practices, digital operations, supply chain analytics, A.I. or physical automation.Familiarity with digital enablement, logistics, supply chain, and/or manufacturing would be highly advantageousExperience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale strategic initiatives from inception to implementation, with a focus on delivering measurable results and driving and embedding operational excellenceEffective management and leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and guide action across a diverse and regionally dispersed teamDemonstrable ability to build long term, trust-based relationships across all senioritiesCredibility across strategic, financial, and operational discussions at C-level and Board levelAspirational, and practical, with a proven record of setting and delivering challenging strategic goals in a corporate environmentA deep and nuanced understanding of business strategy and what it takes to develop, implement and evolve this successfully
