Regional Industrial Engineer

This role is part of our larger Supply Chain Engineering team, which supports Continuous Improvement within our growing Distribution Center network. We are in a time of exciting technology implementations that will allow us to deliver our product to customers and stores as efficiently as possible. 

This is an on-site position based out of our Newton, North Carolina Distribution CenterThis role is an Individual Contributor position 

A day in the life as a Regional Industrial Engineer: 

Support the execution of labor management in collaboration and support of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and process development. Initiate continuous improvement/lean concept, identify gaps for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate and drive  maximum efficiency.Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine associate functions and responsibilities.Evaluate and participate in the development and implementation of new software/systems and new operational functions in each warehouse, including providing assistance in testing and evaluating various options.

What you’ll bring to the table… 

Advanced knowledge and experience with labor planning, budgeting, productivity and continuous improvementStrong analytical skills, highly organized with strong attention to detail Proven working knowledge of various warehouse management systems (JDA/Blue Yonder, Six Rivers, AS400)Understanding of time study, ergonomics and engineering software to drive resultsAbility to travel, as needed

We’d love to hear from you if you have… 

A minimum of 5 years previous experience in Engineering fieldBackground in Lean and 6 Sigma methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt preferredBachelor of Science in Industrial or Process Engineering preferredExperience with compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing or verifying information or data preferred
