Regional Inventory and Demand Planner (Los Angeles Region)Position Overview
The primary goal of this position is to support the development, execution, and oversight of policies and processes designed to enhance the placement and utilization of all corporate finished Hard Surface and Soft Surface inventory assets as well as the space and financial implications for each DC & RDC. This role will support the Los Angeles region and will focus on establishing and leading a robust Regional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) framework. Responsibilities will include defining, monitoring, and refining key performance indicators (KPIs) at the regional level to assess the effectiveness of stocking strategies, marketing initiatives, pricing structures, and promotional campaigns. This comprehensive approach will encompass all product categories, involving the identification of underperforming inventory, the coordination of additions and deletions, SKU/location forecast, and the implementation and maintenance of effective inventory systems to use space efficiently. Additionally, the role will prioritize fostering continuous communication with all business partners to ensure the optimal utilization of materials and spend, thereby driving overall operational efficiency and success.
Essential Duties:
Lead the Regional S&OP Process - Own the Hard Surface and Soft Surface Regional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by understanding, coordinating, and influencing sales leadership and regional operations management. Ensure the development of appropriate KPIs, conduct P&L reviews, and manage product placement, utilization, and deletion in alignment with corporate marketing strategies, costs, customer demand, and inventory planning.
Collaborate with Demand and Inventory Planning Teams - Work closely with both Soft Surface and Hard Surface demand planning and inventory planning teams to design and implement systems that facilitate the efficient deployment and consumption of finished goods inventory.
Conduct Stock Reviews - Perform daily reviews of stock status for each individual stock plan and make necessary adjustments to inventory levels using forecasting and statistical software. Maintain ongoing assessments of stock and non-stock values of inventory at each regional facility to ensure the efficient removal of non-productive inventory.
Develop Reporting Systems - Develop and maintain reporting systems that measure and communicate the overall health of regional business and inventory while utilizing data analytic tools and dashboards.
Lead Data Analysis for Inventory Planning - Create and uphold a system that analyzes and communicates regional facility data to marketing and sales, facilitating the establishment of data-driven inventory stocking plans.
Oversight of Supply Chain Practices - Provide oversight and feedback on the performance and effectiveness of all supply chain systems and practices related to the deployment of finished product inventory.
Direction for Product Sourcing - Guide Hard Surface and Soft Surface product sourcing locations based on inventory positions, customer demands, regional capacity, and system capabilities.
Cross-Functional Project Participation - Engage in projects and lead initiatives involving cross-functional teams aimed at enhancing inventory utilization and improving customer service.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess a four-year college degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field and minimum two years of business-related experience.
Has the capacity to understand and communicate the unique inventory characteristics of each product type. Business acumen with strong communication skills, both verbally and written, with people at various levels of the company in a clear and concise manner.
Possesses ability to think critically with strong analytics, investigative and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze complex data sets representing multiple product types and make recommendations and decisions based on results.
Proven ability to deal professionally and confidently while building collaborative relationships with internal customers at various levels of the organization. Works in a team environment to maximize company resources.

Possess computer and software knowledge such as spreadsheets, database management, word processing, etc…

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with end-to-end supply chain concepts and systems (sales, category management, marketing, demand planning, customer service, inventory, logistics, distribution etc.)
Proficient in Excel advanced functions including pivot tables, as well as the use of Tableau as an analytical tool
Proficient in Statistics concepts
APICS and/or other supply chain certification

This role will report to the West Regional Supply Chain Director and as such will be expected to travel as needed to the DC’s and RDC’s managed by the Director.
Hybrid work schedule inclusive of in-office presence coupled with remote work with a virtual presence.
