Regional IPMI Lead
The Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) Regional IPMI Leader is responsible for developing the broader MMB IPMI and Post-Employment (Retirement) strategy and client value proposition across Asia. This exciting opportunity requires you own and drive the strategy to deliver accelerated growth for the entire MMB IPMI operations across the region. You will work closely with in-country MMB leaders, new business and client servicing colleagues to build out the overall MMB IPMI Value proposition to increase country new business opportunities for success and strengthen retention of existing clients with improved capabilities.
The success of this role will require building a strong network among MMB countries and insurers to drive IPMI growth, building facilities and increasing cross-sell penetration to steer new IPMI revenue stream, driving additional placement revenue, building relationships with key carriers and managing the MMB placement operations and governance across the market. The second core focus of this role requires the development and implementation of the MMB Asia Post Employment (Retirement) strategy. Given this will be a new market segment for MMB Asia, the Post-Employment Solutions will be built from the ground up to include the overall business strategy and solution proposition including local country execution.
We will count on you to:
Collaborate with the MMB APAC Placement Leader to enhance and execute the IPMI strategy across Asia.
Partner with in-country leaders to promote IPMI strategy and cross-sell collaborations among other regional MMB countries. This can be achieved through inbound leads, up-selling IPMI solutions to existing clients, GBM opportunities and through network partnerships.
Leverage on existing IPMI expertise in Singapore and Hong Kong to support with regional benchmarking, remarketing, product development and thought leadership and to build these capabilities in-country for the long term.
Develop and monitor a regional pipeline to drive commercial discipline and help build strong growth and retention capabilities.
Conduct IPMI surveys in key markets to better understand commercial viability of IPMI solutions and insurance carriers.
Work on a regional facility that can help drive solutions in key markets and build new revenue streams.
Collaborate with the MMB APAC Placement Leader to develop and lead the execution of the MMB Post-Employment (Retirement) strategy.
Achieve financial argets for MMB Asia IPMI and Post-Employment (Retirement) segments.
Maintain MMB’s market- leading Post-Employment (Retirement) capabilities across Asia.
What you need to have:
Degree from a recognized university, plus minimum regulatory requirements for registration if required.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strong placement operation experience, analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Previous experience in placement, ideally across product, operations and carrier management.
