Your role

CBC/Radio-Canada is looking for a Regional Line-Up Editor for its Rouyn-Noranda station. In this role, you will report to the Head of French Services - Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

You will be responsible for reading and preparing radio news bulletins, ensuring that regional, national, and international news is included. You will write and publish content for the web. You will also define the angle of news stories, write headlines, and create leads for reports. Additionally, you will prepare journalists for live presentations. You will review report texts and request necessary corrections to verify information before it is broadcast.

The workweek consists of 37.5 hours spread over four (4) consecutive days, including Saturdays and Sundays.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism or in a related field

Three (3) years of journalism experience or equivalent

Skills:

Knowledge of current events and regional realities

Strong organizational skills to meet news deadlines

Excellent command of written and spoken French

Advanced oral, written, and reading skills in English is an asset

Strong teamwork abilities

Experience with live production is an asset

Good knowledge of digital report production and social media management
