Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Manager: Financial Planning to drive excellence in financial advisory services. This role is crucial in ensuring financial planners are equipped to provide Money Management & Advisory-approved solutions effectively, following the six-step financial planning process while adhering to regulatory requirements and SBG policies.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing guidance and support to financial planners to enhance service delivery.Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements.Overseeing the completion of mandatory training interventions, including FAIS, KYC, product knowledge, risk, and compliance.This role demands a strong commitment to regulatory compliance, professional development, and best practices in financial planning.
QualificationsEssential Qualifications:
Bachelor of Commerce in Finance or Legal Degree (NQF7 or Higher)Certified Financial Planner or Wealth Management certification120 credits or Qualification aligned with FAIS and FSCA requirementsRE 1 Certificate: Key IndividualProfessional Experience:
A minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in financial planning, covering all FAIS product categories for Financial/Wealth Planners. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and estate planning.
Proven experience in leading a team of financial/wealth planners, driving sales performance, training, and professional development, while ensuring adherence to financial planning best practices.
Skilled in accompanying financial/wealth planners on key client visits, providing expert input, and managing relationships across internal and external networks, including product suppliers, wealth divisions, and regulatory bodies.
Ability to analyse the regional client base, identify growth opportunities, and allocate resources effectively to meet sales and revenue targets while ensuring alignment with financial planning value propositions.
Expertise in workforce planning, portfolio allocation, and compliance oversight, ensuring that all financial/wealth planners maintain the necessary qualifications, training, and regulatory adherence (FAIS, KYC, risk, and compliance).
