Position Title: Regional Manager

Reports to: Vice President, Participant & External Affairs
Location: Atlanta, GA (*On-site)
*This is a hybrid position requiring four (4) work days in the corporate office and eligible for one (1) remote day each work week.
*The Regional Manager covering the South Georgia may reside in South Georgia with approval of the CEO and may be eligible for more than one (1) remote day each week with requisite approval.
Summary
The Regional Manger serves as a key liaison between MEAG Power and its Participants (customers). This position will act as the liaison/conduit to exchange information from MEAG Power to the Participants, including: delivering information, fielding questions for redirection to appropriate subject matter Executive of MEAG Power, and providing education on MEAG Power’s business and coordinating ongoing issues.
Scope of Responsibility
This is a manager level position with associated authority and approval levels. It also has responsibility as the liaison to assist in coordination of various efforts to respond to Participant needs and accomplish Participant related goals. Each Regional Manager is a key liaison for the MEAG Power/Participant communications and relationship management for Participants within their assigned region.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
+ Serves as a primary liaison and point of contact for Participants of MEAG Power.
+ Ensures Participants are informed and educated about MEAG Power programs, policies and initiatives, as well as ensuring an effective and timely process to gain Participant input on critical issues.
+ Serves as a conduit of business and technical information flow to Participants if not directly provided by appropriate staff subject matter experts on a wide variety of topics including Generation, Transmission, Finance, Accounting and External Affairs.
+ Facilitates information flow to MEAG Power senior management on issues and matters involving or affecting Participants.
+ Assists MEAG Power executives with making presentations to local leaders and elected officials or local governing bodies; including City Councils, Commissions, Mayors and City Managers.
+ Assists departments within MEAG Power in the field implementation of programs, policies, initiatives and support services.
+ Implements a regular call program to assigned Participants ensuring effective “two-way” communications.
+ Maintains a communication effort with Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce personnel in each Participant community.
+ Facilitates specific project needs involving Participants such as information flow related to negotiations and/or contract administration.
+ Actively participates in MEAG Power events and meetings, and coordinates Participant participation.
+ Assists with the onboarding of new MEAG Power staff by hosting visits at Participant sites.
+ At the direction of the senior management represents MEAG Power’s interests, upon Participant request at community events.
+ Provide assistance on special projects and assignments as needed.
Qualifications
+ Generally, requires a bachelor's degree (business, accounting, finance, engineering or similar relevant disciplines).
+ Five to ten years of relevant experience, primarily in the electric utility industry. A background in public/municipal power is a plus.
+ Communications and interpersonal skills are critical.
+ Excellent presentation and public speaking ability.
+ Knowledge of financials relative to municipal government entities.
+ Ability to travel up to 75% of the time primarily in Georgia, and may involve evening and weekend time; and ability to attend conferences outside of Georgia on an as needed basis.
