SummaryThe Regional Manager for the Facilities/Building Envelope Services is responsible for business development of the Building Envelope/Facilities service line, being a technical support/liaison for branch offices, performing field work, writing reports, and providing consultancy services throughout the state of Florida. The ideal candidate is a reliable, trustworthy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where both collaboration and autonomy are valued.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pursue business development opportunities within the building envelope/facilities service line, including attending industry events, setting up meetings with prospective clients, and researching opportunitiesAttend project meetingsPerforming field related work, including inspectionsConduct investigations/evaluations of existing building enclosure systemsOrganize data from the field to write reports, perform analysis, and troubleshoot issuesWrite reports, including recommendations, and provide to the client in a timely fashionCommunicating with clients about the current state of the project, issues, feedback, etc.Prepare proposals for building envelope opportunitiesTrains and mentors other teammates within the building envelope/facilities service lineFunctions as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all building envelope/facilities related questions or inquiries Develop relationships and communicate effectively with branch managers and other service line leaders across the state of FloridaAbility to travel up to 75% of the time around the State of FloridaOther duties may be assignedQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.Required Qualifications Four (4) year degree from a US-accredited college or university in civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture or related field At least five (15) years’ experience as a proven leader and producer in the Building Envelope/Facilities Service LineAbility to read & write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Knowledge of written communication formats and composition, including grammar and vocabulary. Ability to present to one or more people, including customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients.Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop and cell phone, including sending and receiving emails, prepare and present PowerPoint Presentations, and learn Deltek Vision, SAP Concur, and various building department software(s).Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or create, and interpret, bar graphs.Reasoning ability to handle multiple and changing priorities concurrently. Ability to work with problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to effectively communicate about products, services, and technical requirements to both the client/customer and employees within UES.Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria)Ability to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification).High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Preferred Qualifications State of Florida licensed Architect (AIA)State of Florida licensed Professional Engineer (PE)Certifications such as Registered Roof Observer (RRO), Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO), and/or Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC)State of Florida Building Inspector License (BN) – Building, Residential, Mechanical, Plumbing, and/or ElectricalState of FloridaPysical Demands & Work Environment Required to drive, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk, and hear. Standing or sitting for extended periods of time may be required.Lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds is expected regularly.
