Regional Market Intelligence Analyst
Job Description

This role will bridge the gap between strategic market intelligence/sensing and the regional implementation of market strategy and campaigns.

The role of Agilent’s Business Intelligence Team is to provide market and customer insights to characterize new markets, support the development and execution of marketing strategy, and use internal and external data sources to inform business decisions. We are looking for a Regional Market Intelligence Analyst to conduct market research and gathering market intelligence, trends, and competitive position as well as to curate, synthesize and translate this information into actionable insights to inform business decisions and further strengthen and support a customer-centric culture at Agilent.

To undertake this role, you will have proven market research and intelligence gathering experience, knowledge of the analytical tools industry as well as an understanding of the technologies and segmentation used across different end-markets (Pharma/Biopharma, Food, Environmental, Chemical, Energy, Materials and Diagnostics).

Key Responsibilities include:

In-Depth Market Sensing and Research

Analyze industry, financial, competitor and investor reports

Collect and analyze field sales, customer and industry feedback and trends

Leverage the global business intelligence team to create Asia Pacific (APAC)-specific business insights

Deep dive into market, government/funding, competitor and other reports in order to collect actionable account, customer or market information

Regular reporting to the leadership team, marketing and sales teams

Regional Field Marketing Support

Support strategic marketing program development by providing actionable market and customer insights

Monitor and provide input on access to regional government funding opportunities

Provide support to characterize strategic regional accounts/institutions

Market Analysis, Updates and Reporting

Regular analysis and reporting on key APAC markets, competitors, investment trends and regulations

Provide actionable insights to support APAC marketing and sales programs, and inform strategic decision-making

End-Market Customer Engagements

Help identify, recruit and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders

Qualitative and quantitative marketing research projects to assess, measure, analyze and report on unmet customer needs

Assist in translating customer information into actionable insights

End-Market Initiative Analysis

Regular analysis and report out on key regional Applied, Pharma/Biopharma and Diagnostics markets performance, investment trends and regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a technical field

5+ years of experience in conducting market research, analysis and reporting projects

Strong understanding of Agilent’s technology and its application to testing in the major markets of Applied (Food, Environmental, Energy, Chemical, Materials), Pharma, Biopharma, Academia and Diagnostics

Excellent research, analytical, data interpretation and reporting skills

Strong analytical and critical thinking

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent knowledge of analytical software and strong proficiency with MS Office

Strong knowledge of data collection and data mining methods

Familiarity with survey tools, CRM programs and databases

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to collaborate with external and internal customers and stakeholders across various management levels

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
