Regional Medical Manager

Job Summary:  

A field based medical professional dedicated to the care and treatment of patients with Movement Disorders. This role reports to the Director of Regional Medical Managers (i.e. MSL) for the Movement Disorders team and works to establishes peer-to-peer relationships with medical and scientific experts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assists the Medical Affairs Department and the Medical Team in field-based operations. Serves as a scientific expert to internal and external stakeholders on Parkinson’s Disease and other relevant movement disorders. Develops and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with key stakeholders within the scientific community. Active and cross functional interactions with the Medical and Commercial Teams to include Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Marketing, Sales, Corporate Accounts, Regulatory, Sales Training and Legal. Contribute to MA strategic and tactical development plans in support of product launches and drug development efforts. Manages assigned territory including generation and execution of tactical plans supporting educational needs within the community. Establishes self as internal expert on clinical and medical information for relevant neuroscience specialty areas (e.g. Parkinson’s disease). Collects and communicates key insights from external stakeholders to inform internal strategic initiatives. Liaises with business consultants wherever needed or directed. Knowledge & Other Qualifications:

Advanced degree (i.e. MD, Pharm.D., PhD, Pharm.D., PA, or NP) and one year of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Previous experience in a neuroscience environment is preferred.   Previous Commercial/market experience with product launches, clinical development, and Pharmacoeconomics. Previous experience in presenting data and conducting balanced peer-to-peer scientific exchanges regarding diseases and with KOLs including clinicians and payer decision makers is preferred. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs and external stakeholders. Ability to travel 50-70%

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:

Travel Required: Up to 90% Travel Sedentary work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen, iPad, or other electronic device; and extensive reading The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

Compensation:

At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions.  The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $130,000 to $160,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual’s salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.  

Base salary is one part of the overall compensation package, which includes the opportunity to participate in employee stock purchase programs and performance-based bonus programs.
