Position Description:
Process Development and implementation of technologies for fiber optical systems, components, subassemblies, and connectivity solutions Lead product/process Quality/Cost/Delivery/Safety improvement in plant Lead/support plant project, such as DMAIC, DESIGN, Lean, etc.
Day to Day Responsibility:
Lead process and product meeting to drive DFM Analysis or MFG feasibility study, implementing improvement ideas during the NPI project. Develop and implement process strategies, manage process resources, optimize current processes, and maintain process documents. Build detailed technical understanding for key process steps and product design of fiber array units (FAU) and co-packaged optics (CPO) solutions. Working with project team members, develop or improve processes by using advanced quality planning or DMAIC to ensure process performance meets the required quality, cost and capacity target for new product. Integrate professional master work instruction, PFMEA, control plan, pilot and project summary to proceed. Author process improvement capability plans. Complete technical reports for internal publication. Working with the project team and process engineering team, ensure product quality requirements are met prior to closure of project. Visibly support the establishment and maintenance of a safe work environment Provide technical direction and mentorship for teams of engineers and technicians across multiple locations. • Participate in risk assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations, etc.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of process related standards. Strong project management skills. Experience with process simulations, risk assessments, and quality systems. Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in DOE, DMAIC, MEE, MSA methodologies for problem solving & process verification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and influencing skills. High initiative, able to work with a minimum of direction, and able to work in team environment.
